£1.6m Chinese order boosts auto industry supplier firm AB Dynamics

AB Dynamics, the Bradford on Avon-based automotive equipment manufacturer, has won an order worth £1.6m from China for one of its high-specification measurement machines.

The order from the China Automobile Engineering Research Institute (CAERI) is the sixth Suspension Parameter Measurement Machine (SPMM) AB Dynamics has sold in the country.

Delivery is expected in June next year. The firm said today that most of the value of the contract is expected to be recognised in the its financial year that starts on September 1 this year   

AB Dynamics said the order provides it with further future revenue visibility and highlights the motor industry's continued demand for its SPMMs.

Managing director Tim Rogers said: “The new SPMM provides excellent extended visibility to the group’s future revenues. We are very pleased to have achieved a further sale in China, underlying the strength of our position in the global automotive industry.”

The firm employs 50 people designing and making advanced testing systems and measurement products for the global automotive industry.
