Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management has once again been named Adviser of the Year for the South West region by influential industry journal New Model Adviser.

The firm beat five other regional finalists to win the prestigious accolade at an awards ceremony in London.

The New Model Adviser awards recognise the best financial planning firms in eight regions across the UK. It is the second time Epoch has clinched the South West title, having last won the award in 2014.

To win, Epoch underwent rigorous vetting by leading industry experts who judged the firm against a set of demanding criteria. They looked at many facets of the business, from fee income and profitability to assets under management, qualifications of staff and industry accolades.

Epoch offers a full spectrum of services ranging from traditional portfolio management for individuals to specialist investment and tax planning for corporate clients including businesses, trusts and charities.

The award comes just weeks after Epoch was given the coveted title of Accredited Financial Planning Firm by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), which recently merged with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Epoch managing partner Barry Newbury said: “To win this independently judged award for a second time is a real testament to all the hard work that everyone at Epoch puts in collectively and individually every day, and it’s something we are really proud of.

“Having last won in 2014 and been shortlisted last year, it shows that our commitment to providing the very best financial planning advice is being consistently recognised.

Epoch’s partners were presented with the award by the comedian and actor Hugh Dennis at the awards ceremony at the exclusive Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
