Academy launched by IPL to develop graduate IT talent

IPL, the Bath-based IT consultancy, has launched its own academy with the aiming of develop the best business analysts in the industry.

It will provide up to 20 graduates a year with a dedicated three-year training programme, drawing on IPL’s extensive consultancy and business analysis expertise with clients as diverse as GlaxoSmithKline, BP, FirstGroup and the RSPCA.

Talented individuals are being sought from the UK’s top universities and higher education establishments. They will enter a graduate programme that blends training, mentoring and real-world business analysis assignments, leading to recognised British Computer Society (BCS) certifications at foundation, practitioner and diploma levels.

Once they have completed the course, the individuals will be fast-tracked into IPL’s established business analysis practice.

IPL consultancy director Richard Shreeve, pictured, who will oversee the academy, said: “Within our client base we’re increasingly seeing greater demand for highly-trained BAs. And the intensive training we’ll be giving these individuals means our clients will benefit from the best business analysts in the business.”
