Bath exercise firm Zest Bootcamp has declared a charity chocolate ‘amnesty’ which allows the sweet-toothed to trade in their unhealthy Christmas treats in return for a free workout session.

All chocolates handed in to Zest will be donated to homeless shelter charity Julian House.

Zita Alves from Zest said: “Everybody has an excess of treats at Christmas and it can be so unhealthy to eat large amounts of these foods. People shouldn’t want to eat sweets and chocolates just for the sake of it.

“By giving them up they are saving calories – and by having a workout – they are burning calories. It’s a win-win situation. Julian House benefit by getting some unexpected gifts and the donors can get healthier as a result.”

To make a donation, go along to Zest Bootcamp free workout session in Alexandra Park, Bath, on Saturday January 5 at 3.45pm or call Zita on 07970 988128 to arrange alternative donation time. Zest Bootcamp’s outdoor group exercise sessions are for adults of all ages and abilities for fitness, health and weight loss.
