Facilities management firm Openit has been appointed to manage the day-to-day running of serviced offices in Kingston House, a Grade II listed Georgian building Bath city centre.

The building in Pierrepont Street is owned by accountants Leslie, Ward & Drew and also serves as the firm’s Bath office. Other tenants include home care firm Bluebird Care (Bath).

Chippenham-based Openit, which operates its own serviced offices in Chippenham, Royal Wootton Bassett and Corsham as well as facilities management and disaster recovery services, was appointed to look after Kingston House by Julie Ward of Leslie, Ward & Drew.

Openit managing director David Brown, pictured, said: “We’re thrilled to take on this project for Julie. We already work with her in Wiltshire and this contract further cements our professional relationship.”

Openit staff will ensure Kingston House runs smoothly, is compliant with relevant legislation and is kept clean and in good repair for its small business occupiers.

Julie Drew said: “David’s helpdesk, combined with his experience and knowledge of facilities management means my tenants are receiving a good service and I know the building is being taken care of without being a burden on my time and resources.”

Openit was formed in 1990 and initially provided professional IT consultancy to corporate organisations. It has since expanded to provide modern, high specification offices for other dynamic businesses along with facilities management and other services for office owners.
