Law firm Withy King, which has an office in Bath, is streamlining its personal injury and clinical negligence services in wake of far-reaching changes in legal aid.
The firm has awarded a £3m contract to specialist legal services provider Ontime Group to provide it with medical reporting, non-medical reporting and medical record analysis services. 
The open-ended contract was awarded to Ontime after Withy King put it out to competitive tender.
Withy King’s head of clinical negligence Simon Elliman said: “We’re delighted to be partnering Ontime Group as we move forward in the brave new post-LASPO (Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders) world.
“Strategically it is a very good fit for us as the group is forward-thinking, commercial and understands the wider market as well as Withy King’s business goals. They are committed to providing excellent service levels, which reflects our own ethos and approach to client care.”
At least five new jobs will be created at Ontime’s Manchester headquarters as a result of the contract.

Ontime Group was launched in 2007 to optimise case outcomes for clients and lawyers by providing a unique, seamless range of services including medical and non-medical reporting, pagination, costs services and more, under one roof, and re-branded in 2013.
Withy King employs 280 people across its offices in Bath, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and London, representing clients across the UK.
