BMT Hi-Q Sigma, the Bath-based specialist management consultancy, has promoted Nicola Adams to the role of business development director.

Nicola, pictured, will maintain the company’s reputation in existing markets as well as developing sustainable business in new markets.

The firm, a subsidiary of international design, engineering and risk management consultancy BMT Group, provides high-value advice and insight across government, defence, energy and transport industries.

It combines expertise in programme management and systems engineering to bring about organisational transformation and deliver business success for customers.

Nicola has been part of the BMT business development team for more than nine years, playing an instrumental role in the effective management of existing defence contracts within the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), part of the MOD, and establishing partnering opportunities with industry leading players.

BMT Hi-Q Sigma managing director Simon Gould said: “Since joining BMT, Nicola has demonstrated her ability to consistently achieve strong, sustainable growth through a combination of relationship management and leading the preparation of major proposals.

“Her credentials therefore made her the perfect candidate and I’m confident that she will continue to drive the business forward and deliver future growth.”

BMT Hi-Q Sigma is one of a number of BMT Group subsidiaries based in Bath and also has offices in London, Winchester and Ottawa.

BMT Group works principally in the defence, energy and environment, marine risk and insurance, maritime transport and ports and logistics sectors.
