Bath law firm Stone King is holding a free advice seminar for older residents and their families who are concerned about going into care and protecting their homes.

The Funding Care in Later Life seminar, at the Francis Hotel in Queen Square on March 19, will explain the Government’s planned changes to care funding.

Head of Stone King’s trusts and estates team Alison Allen said: “The prospect of having to go into care and finding the money to pay for it can be daunting. An overhaul of the social care system in this country is only adding to these concerns. Many older people worry that they may have to sell their homes to pay for care.

“This event is for anyone concerned about care costs and wants to ensure that they or someone close to them receive the support to which they are entitled.”

Stone King is holding a number of other free advice seminars throughout 2014, including: Your overseas property – keeping it in the family on April 16; and Buying a home with family and friends on May 21.

To reserve a place at any of these events contact Holly Prichard on 01225 324427 or email hvp@stoneking.co.uk. Places are strictly limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is from 5.30pm with presentations starting at 6pm.
