Regional law firm Goughs Solicitors has started the hunt for its next charity of the year.

The firm, which has seven offices across Wiltshire, including in Chippenham, Trowbridge, Melksham and Corsham, prides itself on connecting with and supporting its local communities.

It is currently supporting FearLess, a charity working to break the cycle of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.

The firm has already undertaken a wide range of fundraising activities to raise funds for the charity, previoulsy known as FearLess.

These include completing the Cotswold Way 25km walk, taking part in the Bath Half Marathon and staging sky dives, as well as less strenuous activities such as charity pub quizzes and in-office initiatives including dress-down days, sporting sweepstakes and bake sales.

Now Goughs wants to hear from local charities interested in being the next to benefit from its year-long support.

Goughs partner and head of charity Emma Taylor said: “Goughs is proud to have successfully established corporate partnerships with our respective charities of the year, having supported a wide variety of causes over the years.

“Our teams are passionate about getting involved in a diverse and creative mixture of fundraising events and challenges, both organised by ourselves and our partnered charity.

“Above and beyond this, we strive to engage with you actively and regularly throughout the year to explore ways to collaborate, ensuring our relationship is both dynamic and makes the most of our 12 months of partnership.”

FearFree, based in Trowbridge, supports more than 3,500 adults and children every year – not only keeping them safe but helping them to rebuild their lives free from fear and abuse.

The charity’s support is tailored to the individual’s needs and experiences – from crisis intervention through to one-to-one or group work recovery sessions, specialised employment and education programmes.

FearFree recognises that abuse has no bounds and all its services are free and open to all genders, sexualities, backgrounds and beliefs.

Previous Goughs charities of the year include Julia’s House Hospice, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Mind.
