National law firm Stone King has recruited solicitor Ruth Slader to its Bath office to further develop and strengthen its family and mediation team.

Ruth, pictured, trained as a solicitor in a specialist family law firm in South Wales. Following time out to have children and live and work in Australia, she returned to the UK and worked at Weston-super-Mare-based PowellsLaw and Sewell Mullings Logie in Cirencester as a family and matrimonial law solicitor.

She has specialised in the area of child protection law and at Stone King her main focus is to advise parents within care proceedings and associated matters.

Also joining the family and mediation team recently as a senior associate is Sarah Wasaya, who is based in Stone King’s London office.

Sarah specialises in all aspects of family law with particular expertise in international and complex financial matters and cross border children disputes. She is accredited by Resolution, the national organisation of family lawyers, as a specialist family lawyer.

Bath-based senior associate Caroline Fell, who heads Stone King’s family law and mediation team, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah and Ruth to the team. They each bring an area of expertise that broadens the team’s overall experience and will enhance and extend the services we can offer our clients.”

The team has seven solicitors and four accredited mediators, including four Resolution-accredited specialists.
