Bath’s longest-serving retail property agent Mike McElhinney is to join the city office of real estate consultancy CSquared as a partner.

Mike, pictured, will specialise in the retail and leisure sectors, working alongside CSquared’s existing team in Bath.

He spent more than 26 years with King Sturge (later JLL), working in – and later becoming head of – its Bath office.

Shortly after the office closed in 2012 he joined property agency Carter Jonas’ office in the city, spending nearly 10 years there as a partner.

CSquared, which was launched in Bath and rebranded from its original name Colston & Colston two years, said Mike would bring a wealth of experience and an enviable client and contact book to the firm, having been responsible for many of the city’s landmark retail schemes over several decades.

CSquared partner Allan Lloyd said: “Having worked with Mike for several years earlier in my career I know Mike well and am delighted to be able to announce he is coming on board.

“Mike will be assisting us with our long-held ambition to be the pre-eminent consultants within the city.”

Mike McElhinney added: “I was particularly attracted to the CSquared culture and I look forward to not only reconnecting with the business community as a member of the CSquared team but also to assist in bringing forward the next generation of talent.”

Earlier this year CSquared merged with Bristol’s oldest independent property consultancy ETP, creating a full-service portfolio spanning occupational, investment and development agency as well as property management, building consultancy project management, valuation and lease advisory specialisms.
