state-of-the-art office for international law firm Osborne Clarke created by Bath-based workplace design and build company Interaction has been shortlisted for two prestigious interior design awards.

The SBID International Design Awards are regarded as among the most coveted accolades for design excellence, with their judging panel of industry-leading experts selecting the shortlisted projects for design functionality, innovation, creativity and technical execution.

Osborne Clarke’s new 74,000 sq ft Bristol office, pictured, on the top five floors of the citys landmark Halo building, now home to around 780 employees, has been shortlisted in the Workplace Fit Out Project of the Year and UK Office Design Over 2,000 sq m categories.

Interaction was commissioned by Osborne Clarke to design the office with a focus on wellbeing, agile working and sustainability.

Highlights include indoor gardens, flexible workspaces, yoga and spin studios and a restaurant with a rooftop terrace.

The office also has extensive indoor planting, including ‘living walls’ and indoor gardens where staff can work away from their desks.

The fit-out’s use of reclaimed tiles and recycled materials also helps make the office one of the UK’s most sustainable workplace schemes.

Interaction managing director Dieter Wood, pictured, said the company was thrilled to have been shortlisted for such prestigious interior design awards, which attract entries from around the world.

It is the second year running that Interaction have had a projected shortlisted in the awards.

The firms work on games media group Network N’s new flagship office in Bath was in the running in the office design under 2,000 sq m category last year.

Dieter said: “We’re extremely proud of the super-flexible new workspace that we have designed for Osborne Clarke.

“The result is five floors of jaw-dropping, truly sustainable, inclusive and high-quality space, which has absolutely transformed the way they work.”

To complete the final stage of judging, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs – which will account for 10% of the overall results.
