Epic result for Interaction after it employs highly flexible approach for latest office design

Bath-based workplace design-and-build company Interaction has unveiled its latest project – an ultra-flexible, occupier-ready office scheme in one of Bristol’s landmark commercial buildings.

The firm was commissioned by real estate investment firm EPIC to turn the top floor of Linear Park at Temple Quay into a modern workspace for new tenants.

As a result, the 8,000 sq ft space, pictured, provides a range of working areas and meeting rooms for different working styles, including open-plan desks and private booths for more focused activities.

It also features a movable central metal divide, which creates an area that can be used as a tea-point, breakout area or informal meeting space and encouraging a sense of community and collaboration among tenants.

In addition, strategically placed walls mean future occupiers will be able to leave the workspace open plan or add more partitions.

The project is the latest quality pre-fitted workspace designed by Interaction as part of its Primed programme, which helps landlords, serviced office providers and co-working operators attract top tenants.

Launched last summer, the fast-turnaround service includes quality pre-fitted workspaces and ‘rentalised’ design options to help landlords.

It has already been used in the new Distillery office development in Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, not far from Linear Park.

Interaction managing director Dieter Wood, pictured, said: “Linear Park is one of Bristol’s landmark office buildings, so when we were asked to create a modern, new occupier-ready workspace on behalf of landlords EPIC, we leapt at the chance.

“Flexibility is key when attracting future tenants who may have different needs and ways of working.

“Our innovative design allows them to configure the space to suit their specific requirements.

“The fit-out has been styled minimally to ensure the space is beautiful without giving it its own distinct personality. This means it’s ready for a tenant to make it their own.”

Last November, privately-owned Interaction, which has been creating workplaces since 1992, became a B Corporation, the latest firm in the region to join the movement to use business as a force for good for people and the planet.

To gain the accreditation, Interaction had to meet high standards of social and environmental impact with regard to its employees and customers, the local community and the globe.

Interaction’s B Corp recognition came just weeks after the firm relocated its Bath HQ into a new, state-of-the-art office with modern facilities for up to 70 staff.

Called The Quarter, the sympathetically redesigned Grade II listed building in Edgar Mews has been developed in line with principles from sustainable built environment guidelines such as SKA and WELL.

Interaction has also recently celebrated being a climate positive business for two years running, meaning it removed more CO2 from the atmosphere than it put in during the last two years.

Its recent major projects include the Bristol offices of rapid-growth specialist software firm Amdaris and international law firm Osborne Clarke and GKN Aerospace’s Global Technology Centre in Filton.
