Law firm Goughs Solicitors has expanded its private client team with the appointment of Sarah Loveless as a partner.

Sarah, pictured, Sarah joins Goughs, which has seven offices across Wiltshire including in Chippenham, Trowbridge, Melksham and Corsham, from Bath and Wiltshire firm BLB Solicitors, where she spent just over three years, most recently as a director and head of its private client offering.

Prior to that she worked for 18 years at Bath law firm Burningham & Brown Solicitors, where she was a private client and family solicitor.

Goughs said she brought a wide expertise which would complement its 15-strong, nationally recognised private client team, working with clients on matters relating to Wills, estate administration, LPAs and deputyship applications.

Being a Dementia Friend, TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) full member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly), Sarah’s expertise will greatly add to the wealth of knowledge already within team.

She will be based in the firm’s Melksham office, adding to the already strong family, residential property and private client offerings.

Goughs equity partner and head of private client Emma Taylor said: “This is such an exciting time for everyone at Goughs.

“We are attracting top-level legal talent to all of our teams and are contributing significantly to the partnership of the firm.

“Sarah’s reputation within private client law is exceptional and to have her join as a key part of the firm’s strategic plans and vision is wonderful – we are delighted to have her on board.”

Sarah added: “The reputation Goughs has built over the years is unrivaled in Wiltshire and beyond, so to be joining, particularly as a partner, is a career high for me.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the firm on its plans for further growth over the coming years.

“Moreover, as a lawyer, I enjoy meeting clients, listening to them and building long-lasting relationships with families.

“Knowing that Goughs truly values trusted relationships with clients gives me full confidence that I will be surrounded with like-minded individuals who offer exceptional client care.”
