Bath-based chartered accountants Richardson Swift and law firm Mogers Drewett teamed up to host an exclusive drinks and film evening at the city’s TIVOLI Cinema.

More than 50 guests attended the event, which included a pre-screening of Hard, Cracked the Wind – the latest short film from Early Day Films, the BAFTA-winning Bristol film production company and Richardson Swift and Mogers Drewett client.

The screening was followed by a question-and-answer session on the film and filmmaking in general with Early Day Films founders Kate Byers and Linn Waite, who were joined by Bristol-based screenplay writer Adrian Bailey.

Established in 2009, Early Day Films was awarded a BAFTA for its short film September in the same year.

Its most recent film BAIT has garnered five-star reviews from film critics, including chief film critic of The Observer Mark Kermode, and has screened at more than 15 global festivals and 130 cinemas nationwide, with box office sales of more than £370,000 in its opening six weeks
