The use of emerging technologies by small and mid-sized businesses to access new markets, work more efficiently and increase their profits will be the theme of the next Board 2020 seminar.

Executive architect of computer giant IBM’s Smarter Cities project Dr Rick Robinson will lead delegates, made up of senior directors from businesses across the West of England, in a discussion on how to harness technology to gain business benefits as networks continue to build a ‘smarter planet’.

The seminar – the latest in the successful Board 2020 seminar series aimed at Bristol area directors – takes place at The University of the West of England, Bristol, on March 8.

Board 2020 was set up last year by Strategic Value Partners (SVP) and Bristol-based executive search and recruitment specialists Moon Consulting, to stage conferences with a difference. Its events give delegates the chance to hear from world-class speakers as well as getting a valued interactive learning forum through a range of facilitated group discussion platforms such as World Café and Open Space.

Board 2020 events are attended exclusively by board members, executive and non-executive directors.
