Bath-based developer Kersfield has staged an exclusive tour of its newest luxury residential development at an event attended by around 100 of the region’s top property professionals.

The invitation-only gathering, organised jointly with the Bristol office of accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson, was an opportunity to see the transformation of Burwalls, the Wills family’s Grade II listed former mansion next to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, into five beautifully-appointed apartments.

A further six houses have been built in the stable block and ancillary buildings with the whole five-acre development of gardens and woodland having spectacular views.

Three of the apartments and four of the houses have already been sold.

Kersfield director David Newton said: “The illuminated Suspension Bridge provided a unique backdrop to proceedings and throughout the evening guests enjoyed guided tours with our joint agents Savills and Knight Frank.

“Work is almost complete and I am pleased to say that sales are going very well which demonstrates the demand for property of this calibre in Bristol.”

Mike Neale, head of the property and construction team in Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office, added: “This wonderful, former family home and its outbuildings have been given a whole new lease of life and it was a privilege to be able to see the craftsmanship and hear how the scheme was developed.

“We were delighted to help host this event and to welcome so many familiar faces from all corners of the industry to network and admire what Kersfield have achieved here.”
