Bluebird Care Bath, the local franchise of the national care in the home provider, has appointed Angela Clifford as care manager.

Angela, a behaviour management specialist and former college lecturer, arrives with more than 20 years’ experience of working in the industry.

She is working with the 70-strong Bluebird Care team covering Bath & NE Somerset to continue to improve standards and provide a first-class service to people in their homes.

Angela said: “My passion for providing good quality care has increased over the years. The experiences with my 16-year-old daughter who has learning difficulties have shown me that it’s essential that all people receive quality care at home, so they can live happy and fulfilling lives whatever their needs.”

Bluebird Care was launched in the area two years ago by managing director Tim Rowland-Jones.

It provides care visits to nearly 200 customers, normally on a daily basis for relatively short periods to help with the everyday tasks of life. Bluebird Care can also provide overnight and live-in care.

Bath area customers include physically disabled adults, older people and people with dementia.

Mr Rowland-Jones said: “I went into the recruitment process wanting to find someone with similar values to myself, who is committed to delivering only the highest standard of quality care and we are fortunate to have found Angela.

She brings huge experience to the role and I have no doubt that she will prove to be a real asset to the team.”

Bluebird Care has won a number of awards including the Local Investment Award at last year’s B&NES Business Awards.
