Budding entrepreneurs looking to start their own businesses in the creative and tech sectors can hear from individuals who have successfully launched their own profitable enterprises at an event this evening staged by Creative Bath.

Called ‘What I Wish I’d Known’, it is the latest in a series of panel sessions and brings together a group of established business owners who will share their first-hand experience of setting up and growing their firms.

Among the topics to be discussed are:

* The dos and don’ts of starting-up (what worked for them and what they’d have done differently)

* How to ensure a smooth transition from full-time employment to self-employment

* How to make your business stand out in a competitive marketplace

On the panel will be Sammy Mansourpour, founding partner of  Bath integrated ad agency TheAgency, David Lester: publisher of StartUps website which is also sponsoring the event, Robert Craven, managing director of the Bath-based Directors Centre, and Richard Godfrey, founder of Bath software firm iPrinciples.

The event takes place at the Innovation Centre, Carpenter House between 6pm and 8.30pm. Tickets are £10 (£5 for students).
