Business growth consultancy Cool Ventures is teaming up with Bath-based healthtech specialist Mayden and law firm Mogers Drewett to stage Managing People and Productivity, a free learning and networking event.

Taking place on March 28 in Bath, the workshop will focus on three key areas:

  • Managing and planning your people’s time and business productivity
  • Managing your HR, holidays, absence and flexible working policies
  • Motivating staff to be productive.

Attendees will get the chance to hear from Mayden founding director Chris May, who will speak about how the company – now employing more than 70 employees – made the transition to self-managing teams and how that has maximised time, productivity and company growth.

Chris will also demonstrate and discuss how Mayden developed transparent, collaborative Cloud-based software (Orbit) and is using it to support its way of working.

The event, which takes place at Mayden’s head office in The Old Dairy, Melcombe Road, BA2 3LR, runs from 4pm to 6pm, including an opportunity to network over afternoon tea at 5.30pm.

The event is part of Future Bright, a free service available to employers managed by the West of England Combined Authority and delivered by Bath & North and East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils.

Dedicated Future Bright advisors can work with businesses to develop their HR and employee engagement practices, helping recruit, develop and retain the right staff for the organisation.

This workshop is restricted to employers based in Bath and North East Somerset.
