Italian restaurant and deli chain Carluccio’s opened its new Bath outlet with a glittering party attended by figures from the city’s tourism, cultural and heritage sectors. Antonio Carluccio, the ‘godfather’ of Italian cuisine in the UK, welcomed guests to the 66th restaurant bearing his name. Guests included the Mayor and Mayoress of Bath and Roger Saul, founder of the iconic Mulberry fashion group and owner of Shepton Mallet designer outlet centre Kilver Court.

The 3,800 sq ft outlet in Milsom Place offers an all-day Italian restaurant, food shop and delicatessen and is a destination for an Italian coffee and hearty breakfast, right through to three-course candlelit suppers.  In the evening, guests can experience the buzz of a traditional Milano wine bar at Carluccio’s Aperitivo Bar for an-after work catch up over interesting Italian wines and refreshing tipples. Alternatively, diners can enjoy the last of the summer sunshine on the picturesque al fresco terrace.
