Charities being urged to apply for the chance to become the next to benefit from the year-long support of law firm Gough Solicitors.

The firm, which has seven offices across Wiltshire, including in Chippenham, Trowbridge, Melksham and Corsham, has started the hunt for its next charity of the year.

As a Wiltshire-based firm, Goughs prides itself on supporting its local communities and so would like to offer its support to a charity based or operating in the county.

The firm is currently supporting Julia’s House, which is dedicated to supporting the families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions across Wiltshire and Dorset.

Many of these children require round-the-clock care, which has a huge impact on family life.

Goughs staff have already staged office baking competitions, sporting sweepstakes, a sky dive and dress-down days among others event to bring in funds for the charity, which relies on public donations, fundraising and legacies for around 92% of the money needed to keep running its vital services, including hospices in Devizes – where Goughs has an office – and in Mullen, Dorset.

Goughs has previously supported the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Mind, among others, as its charity of the year.

Goughs partner and head of charity Emma Taylor said: “At Goughs we have a strong track record of building successful corporate partnerships with our respective charities of the year, having supported a wide variety of causes over the years.

“Our teams are passionate about getting involved in a varied and creative mix of fundraising efforts, both organised by ourselves and our partner charities.

“Beyond this we are keen to actively and regularly engage with you throughout the year to explore ways to work together, keeping our relationship dynamic and making the most of our 12 months of collaboration.”
