Bath law firm Mowbray Woodwards has strengthened its growing family and commercial law teams with two graduate appointments.

Charlotte Collard joins as a paralegal in the family law team having graduated with a law degree from Plymouth University.

The Queen Square firm’s commercial law team has also welcomed welcomes Katharine Robinson, who also joins as a paralegal.

Charlotte will begin studying the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in September and hopes to become a solicitor specialising in family law.

She said: “Mowbray Woodwards appeared to be a friendly, approachable and supportive firm, to both its clients and staff, which was exactly what I wanted for my first graduate job.

“Now I have started here I know I made the right choice, I have felt part of the team from day one and have already been exposed to a varied work load.

“Working in Bath is great too. You really can have a good work/life balance here.”

Katharine recently graduated from the University of Reading with the view to complete the LPC with an additional Masters qualification in Law, Business and Management over the next two years.

She said: “My ambition is to qualify as a solicitor in the commercial sector. Mowbray Woodwards’ expertise in business services presents diverse opportunities to learn and progress.

“This, as well as their long-standing reputation, attracted me to the firm. In particular the potential to develop a reputation in a growing firm and more widely in Bath is important to me.”

Managing partner Tracey Smith added: “We are delighted to welcome two new graduates to the firm. We are committed to the continuous professional and personal development of every member of staff.

“Recruitment of new paralegals into teams where individuals are moving up the ranks is paramount to the company’s growth.”
