Annual turnover at Bath-based building firm Halsall soared by 34% to £26.7m last year as it continued to grow into a major player in the regional construction industry.

Halsall, headquartered on the Bath Business Park at Peasedown St John, said the opening of an office in Exeter and a mix of housing, construction, and care projects added to its growth during the year, resulting in a net profit of £244,000.

Cash levels in the business, which started in 1973, ended the year on a decade high, offering a solid platform from which to develop the business further in the future, it said.

Managing director Andy Corp said: “The hard work and dedication of all our staff is evident in these excellent results. Our job now is to continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations as we strive to take the company from strength to strength.”

Halsall said it had already secured revenues in its current financial year in excess of the previous 12 months.
