Bath-based branding agency Ignition Strategic Design celebrates its 20th anniversary this month – and has never been busier.

Founded in April 1996, the agency specialises in ‘bringing brands to life’, having created, curated and nurtured brands of many high-profile clients over the past two decades.

It puts its success down to its simple approach – no jargon, no smoke and mirrors, just thought-through creative solutions.

As well as working with some prominent local businesses including the Abbey Hotel, Bath Boutique Stays, stationary and greeting cards firm Prey, Dickies Workwear and the University of the West of England (UWE), Ignition has also maintained long and successful relationships with international brands including Kingfisher (part of B&Q), Tesco, Volkswagen and Dulux.

The agency has employed many talented creatives from Bath and the South West – some of whom have been with the company for more than 13 years – and has established long-term relationships with local printers, photographers, web developers and creative freelancers. Keeping it local has been important to the company’s success and philosophy.

Creative director Adam Lloyd-Smith – one of Ignition’s founders – said: “We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone. Bath is the perfect backdrop for a business like ours – this beautiful city provides inspiration on a daily basis!”

Director Tim Jones added: “It’s a really exciting time for the agency. We have an exceptional creative team in place and we’ve never been so busy. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked with us and supported us over the years. Here’s to another 20!”
