Regional law firm Mogers Drewett has expanded its human resources and employment legal services offer to clients with the appointment of in-house HR consultant Lucy Cotterell.

Lucy, pictured, who has 20 years’ experience in HR, has joined Mogers Drewett after an extensive and varied career within the HR team at Bath College – including overseeing the strategic and operational merger of City of Bath and Norton Radstock colleges and a restructure of the workforce.

In her role at Mogers Drewett, which has offices in Bath, Wells, Frome and Sherborne, Lucy will work with clients who need additional support, particularly during times of restructuring, helping to reassure and alleviate pressure points as needed.

Mogers Drewett partner and employment law specialist Sean McDonough said: “Having Lucy join the employment law team as a HR consultant with significant client-side experience and insight is a real asset and will be truly valuable to us.

“We are seeing more and more of our clients looking to us to offer a more integrated HR and legal advisory service. It is a natural expansion of our services, particularly as we have a growing number of clients who do not have the capacity within their internal HR departments to cope with any major business restructures and therefore at times require both legal and HR support.

“Being able to offer this under one roof means we are able to provide an efficient and joined up service for our clients.”

Mogers Drewett offers a full HR and employment service, including handling mergers and acquisitions, employee disputes, employee resourcing, employee relation strategies and training and development.
