Inspiring event gives Bath business leaders chance to learn about China and neuroscience

Lessons from China’s growth and the use of brain science in business were the topics covered by speakers at the first gathering of alumni from Bath’s Inspire leadership forum.

Inspire was launched last year to give businesses the chance to grow through inspired leadership and outstanding organisational culture.

Following that Bath business leaders HJ Colston, joint CEO of Chopsticks Club – the largest, independent China-UK professionals’ membership network – Inspire founder and leadership coach Liza Hughes, and Barry Newbury, managing partner of Epoch Wealth Management, collaborated to stage the first Inspire Alumni event of 2016.

HJ Colston and Liza Hughes were speakers at the event, held at Epoch’s Queen Square office.

Having met Chinese President Xi Jinping on his recent UK state visit, China expert HJ Colston shared her insights on how China’s business leaders are developing successful global brands.  HJ’s

Here 30-year knowledge of China offered Inspire members real outputs that they could practically apply to their own businesses in Bath.

Liza Hughes spoke on the latest trends in neuroscience and how to future-proof their organisation by using brain science to successfully navigate the business through change.
