More than 50 Bath business and community leaders attended a drinks reception to celebrate the launch of estate agents Pearson Ferrier’s new branch in the city.

The Odd Down office is the Lancashire-based firm’s 23 branch but only the second outside its North West heartland.

To coincide with its opening, Pearson Ferrier has selected Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal as its chosen charity.

It is donating part of its fee from every sale to house sale to the charity and every property it puts up for sale over the next three months will be entered into a ‘golden ticket’ competition, with the winner getting their home sold for free.

Branch manager Andrew Harrison said: “It is so exciting to have our office based here in the beautiful City of Bath.

“Our experienced team are delighted to have the opportunity to be here and to be in the position to help local people sell their homes.

“Covering such a wide area, our team in Bath are confident that they can find a property for everyone.

“We also aim to raise as much money as possible for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal to support local children and families.”

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal provides cutting-edge, life-saving equipment, family accommodation and arts, music and play therapy for patients and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
