One of the UK’s leading LinkedIn experts has helped relaunch the meeting and conference at Guyers House Hotel in Corsham.

James Potter, pictured, who provides LinkedIn training and consultancy across the UK, gave an hour-long presentation to an invited audience of more than 50 business leaders.

He showed how the online social media platform, which has 150m users worldwide, can help individuals in businesses network effectively with a view to boosting sales.

Guyers’ marketing manager Sian Swift said: “I’m delighted with the response to this event illustrating that, even though 40m people use LinkedIn in the UK, it is still a relatively new networking method – so there’s uncertainty over exactly how to use it.

“James, who is known as The LinkedIn Man, talked with authority, using knowledge he has learned not from reading a book but from having successfully implemented strategies for businesses of all sizes.”

Guyers House Hotel has self-contained conference facilities in six acres of tranquil Wiltshire countryside – yet is only 10 minutes from junction 17 of the M4, and 15 minutes from Chippenham rail station.

Attendees of yesterday’s event enjoyed champagne and canapés and had an opportunity to look around the refurbished meeting and conference facilities which include a two AA-rosette restaurant and a private conference suite with three syndicate rooms. Rates are £35 plus VAT for a day delegate and £135 plus VAT for residential delegates.
