Bath paralegal Rob Beazley has finished a gruelling running challenge, completing 25 races in just over a year, and raising £2,500 for Cancer Research UK.

Rob Beazley, who works in law firm Withy King’s Bath personal injury team, completed 25 runs, half-marathons and marathons in 14 months, culminating in the Brighton Marathon earlier this month.

Rob, pictured, said: “Running took over my life for more than a year and the experience was difficult as well as rewarding. I think I’ve covered about 1,500 miles over the last 14 months, in training as well as the races themselves.”

He said the toughest part was running seven half-marathons over a gruelling nine-week period.

“At one point, I didn’t think I was going to make it but fortunately I pulled through,” said Rob. “Despite injuries and a couple of low points, overall I’ve really enjoyed the challenge and am extremely grateful to my family and friends for all their support and encouragement.”

Despite his achievement, Rob is not ready to hang up his running shoes just yet.

“I wasn’t a runner before, but running has become part of my life now and I’d like to try and keep it up, but at a more sensible pace,” he said. “I plan to take part in a few marathons and half-marathons later in the year, but allowing myself a decent rest in between!”
