Regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon, which has an office in Bath, is celebrating the hard work, passion and commitment to clients of its general practice manager Lynsey Rowley as she marks 25 years with the firm.

Lynsey joined the firm in 1997 after graduating from the University of Bath with a BSc in Economics and spent the next three years training with the practice before qualifying as an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

Four years later she was promoted to supervisor and then a general practice manager two years after that.

Lynsey said that the firm supported her through her training and exams and allowed her to do work for other departments, such as insolvency and forensics, while also giving her support during her maternity and afterwards, through part-time working.

She added: “I enjoy working for Milsted Langdon due to opportunities to get involved in a wide variety of work, together with the people and culture.

“A lot has changed since I started – size being the main one, as there were only two offices and six partners. The technology we used when I joined just doesn’t compare in any way to the innovative systems we use now.”

The firm now employs 22 partners and around 230 staff across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil and London.

Many of Lynsey’s clients have been with her since she was a junior, receiving her guidance and support as she has worked her way up through the practice.

Lynsey said she had many memorable experiences working at the firm, including dressing up in combat gear for an event, counting cows and being introduced to the Countess of Wessex at a client’s event.

Milsted Langdon chair Tim Close said: “Lynsey, like many other long-serving staff members, is an important part of our firm’s history and has worked immensely hard to support our clients and get to where she is today.

“We are delighted that she has completed 25 years of service with us. I would like to thank her on behalf of everyone at Milsted Langdon for her incredible work and passion for the job.”

Milsted Langdon offers a large range of business services, from routine compliance matters to specialist tax advice and planning, corporate finance, business intelligence, insolvency, forensic accounting and mediation services.
