Bath workspace design firm Interaction is helping city-based MoveGB, the UK’s largest fitness marketplace, maintain its fast-paced growth with a radical redesign of its head office.

MoveGB, whose ambition is to be the largest active membership in the world, has signed up 300,000 members and now books activities at more than 6,000 gyms. As a result, its sales have soared by nearly 95% over the past three years.

To maintain this success, founder Alister Rollins called in Interaction to unlock the potential of the firm’s Walcot Street workplace.

He wanted the space to reflect the brand’s philosophy that “at Move, the line between work and life is blurred because we all want to grow, develop and be the best person we can be”.

Interaction’s design team ran with the idea – and now key features of the office include a race track floor graphic, shiny new tea point and vibrant colour scheme throughout.

The result is a space that perfectly matches the firm’s branding, ethos, and requirements for a flexible and appealing workplace.

Alister Rollins said: “At MoveGB we challenge what work is, including when you work and where. We’re proud to provide a space for passionate people to have the flexibility and freedom to be creative.

“For us an office is a second home and an environment to enjoy and be productive – and I believe working with Interaction has achieved this for us at Move.”

Interaction works with businesses in sectors spanning banking, finance and professional services to marketing, tech and engineering across the country.

Over the past year in its home city of Bath it has completed a £1.2m project to convert unused offices in Cambridge House on Henry Street into a modern, high-quality workspace for serviced office group Clarendon, and transformed work spaces in the former 1970s office block 20 Manvers Street for award-winning gift designer and retailer Wild & Wolf and software developer Rocketmakers.

MoveGB, which was founded in 2013 and promotes itself as the ‘ultimate gym membership’, appears at number 39 in the latest annual Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 published.
