Time Finance, the Bath-based specialist funder to growing businesses, has made another key appointment as it continues to expand its asset finance team.

Laura Mollett, pictured, who has more than 14 years’ experience, has joined the firm as head of broker sales.

Laura began her career in account and relationship management positions at Surrey-based channel finance specialist Syscap prior to its acquisition by Wesleyan in 2015, where she worked directly with small and medium-sized businesses to understand their funding requirements and package facilities that supported their investment and growth plans.

She then moved into the role of affinity and PII (professional indemnity insurance) broker manager at Wesleyan, where she managed some of its key strategic relationships and specialist brokers.

In her most recent position as a broker relationship manager, she was instrumental in the launch of Wesleyan’s broker proposition and a key driver in the success of the bank’s broker division.

With a proven track record behind her, Laura steps up to the new position at Time Finance – which also supplies invoice finance, loans and vehicle finance services -  and takes on responsibility for helping drive its asset finance proposition to the SME broker market.

She will manage Time Finance’s national team of broker managers to deliver a market-leading service to both brokers and their SME clients.

Laura said: “I’m excited to be joining Time Finance and to be supporting the team in driving their proposition forward. In what continues to be challenging economic conditions, stepping into this new role comes at a vital time and presents a great opportunity to inspire confidence and investment for growth in the UK SME market.

“Because of their diverse product offering, responsiveness to broker and client needs, and expert-led teams, Time Finance already has a strong reputation in the business finance sector. I'm looking forward to using my skills and experience to help the team continue delivering excellence.”

The announcement follows a number of recent appointments and promotions at Time Finance, including Steve Nichols as director of asset finance earlier this year and, more recently, Kate Brown to head of marketing – moves the firm said further demonstrated its commitment to investing in its people as well as delivering a broad solution to UK SMEs.

Steve Nichols said: “Laura is an excellent addition to the business. She brings invaluable experience that will help develop our broker offering as we continue to strengthen our proposition in hard and soft asset by offering quick, sensible decisions and market leading service.”
