Mogers Drewett, the West of England law firm with offices in Bath, Wells, Frome and Sherborne, has strengthened its commercial property team with two key appointments.

Emma Wyatt has joined the Bath office as a solicitor while Fiona Oliver joins the Sherborne office as a legal assistant. The firm has also promoted Kim Pocock to the position of legal assistant at the Wells office.

Emma, who is working on a range of land development transactions, joined from Wiltshire Council. She has experience in acquisitions and disposals of land, and transfers of public open spaces.

Fiona has joined from South Coast law firm Lester Aldridge, where she was a paralegal in the property team focusing on commercial property and development. She has brought with her substantial experience in managing the real estate portfolio of a large hospitality chain.

At Mogers Drewett, she will deal with all aspects of commercial property matters including; business lease renewals for landlord and tenant retail and corporate occupiers; landlord and tenant property transactions; freehold acquisitions and disposals; and advice on the property aspects on corporate transactions.

Kim Pocock joined Dyne Drewett in 2002. The firm merged with Mogers of Bath last year to form Mogers Drewett.

Following the arrival of the new recruits the firm’s commercial property team now has nine lawyers across its offices.

Head of the team Justin Hopkins said: “Commercial property is a fundamental strength of the business and our strong reputation is built on an ability to understand our clients’ commercial property businesses, as well as an ability to adopt an innovative and flexible approach.

“Our service is relationship driven, as we genuinely believe that business works best by creating long-term relationships built on mutual respect and trust.

“The addition of Emma and Fiona, who both have strong commercial track records and proven ability in building strong relationships, will only further strengthen the business in this key area. We are delighted to have them join us and are sure they will further help develop our Commercial Property business in Bath and Sherborne. We are also really excited about Kim Pocock’s promotion in the Wells office which further enhances our offering in and around the Mendips.”
