Bath-headquartered law firm RWK Goodman has strengthened its residential property, farms and estates team in the city with the appointment of Rebecca Gillard as a senior associate.

Rebecca, pictured, joined from the Salisbury office of  Trethowans and has also worked for Goughs in Trowbridge and TLT in Bristol.

She has spent the past nine years specialising in agricultural property and has a wide range of experience across residential, agricultural and rural property.

This includes the acquisition and disposal of farms and estates, residential and agricultural tenancies, and secured lending, as well as general advice to rural landowners.

Rebecca, who is recognised in the Legal 500 directory as a key agricultural property lawyer, said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a respected firm and working alongside a team of highly experienced individuals.

“Growing up in Bath, Withy King – as it was then – was a well-known name and I’m very proud to now be part of the team.”

She said she was already enjoying working with local landowners and excited about the opportunities ahead.

“I enjoy the technical aspects of property law and the specific challenges and nuances involved in agricultural property,” added Rebecca.

“I enjoy getting to know my clients and understanding their objectives and aim to add value where I can.”

Head of RWK Goodman residential property, farms and estates and the agricultural team Angus Williams said Rebecca's extensive expertise and experience would enhance our team even further.

“With a robust agricultural practice already in place, Rebecca’s arrival represents a significant stride in broadening our capabilities and extending our range of expertise and services for our clients,” he added.

RWK Goodman, which was formed last year from the merger of Bath-headquartered Royds Withy King and London practice Goodman Derrick, provides a comprehensive range of legal services from corporate and commercial, clinical negligence and personal injury to family and private client and advises in a number of key sectors.

It employs more than 500 people across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Oxford and London.
