No soggy bottoms at RTS Group’s charity coffee and cake morning

Staff at automotive learning and developing agency RTS Group swapped cars for cakes to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for cancer charity Macmillan.

RTS, which employs around 50 staff at its headquarters in Notton, near Chippenham, has supported the annual event for the past three years.

The team and their families, who came along to join in, raised £150 by munching their way through homemade cakes and downing tea and coffee.

Emma Tozer, HR adviser at RTS, which specialises in developing people within automotive manufacturers’ retail networks, said the coffee morning was just one element of the company’s developing corporate social responsibility policy (CSR).

“We’ve just set up a CSR committee and have seven volunteers who have joined. They will be looking at ways we can support the community we are based in and the sector we work in,” she said.

“We’ve always been involved in supporting charities and supporting our staff who want to do charity or volunteering work, but our CSR committee means we can have a more formal approach.”

RTS Group was founded in 1989 and has been providing learning and development services to the automotive industry for more than 25 years.

It works across Europe, the Middle East, China and South Africa with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Mazda and Nissan.
