One year on from three-way merger, Edit reaps rewards of brand new start

Bath-based marketing communications agency Edit is celebrating a year since it was created through the merger of three West of England-based businesses.

The £32m-turnover agency, part of international marketing group Kin + Carta (formerly St Ives), employs 213 people working on customer relationship management and media, marketing technology and data science.

The merger brought together Response One, Amaze One and Occam under one roof and a single brand. Leeds-based SEO specialist Branded3 – also a St Ives business – became part of Edit last August.

Since then Edit, which is based in showpiece offices at 20 Manvers St, has won a large number of national and international accounts such as Shell, Rank Group and The Salvation Army to add to its existing client portfolio, which includes brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Vue Cinemas and Azzuri.

The agency has also chalked up 11 industry award shortlistings – winning Best Use of Content at the PR Moment Awards 2019, Best Digital Marketing Campaign at the Northern Digital Awards 2019, and Best Use of Search at the UK Search Awards 2018 for its work with SpaSeekers.com.

Edit CEO Damian Coverdale said: “We’ve achieved a huge amount in our first year, from re-shaping our proposition, making strategic investments in people and technology, developing our long-term vision and, most importantly, continuing to deliver great work to our clients.

“The fantastic pitch wins we have had demonstrate that our approach is working, and this is down to the commitment everyone in the business has shown around aligning behind the new Edit brand.”
