Pair of new non-exec directors strengthen manufacturer Rotork’s board

Rotork, the Bath-based specialist manufacturing group, has appointed two new non-executive directors.

Ann Christin Gjerdseth Andersen and Tim Cobbold will both be members of the audit, nomination and remuneration committees of the board at Rotork, the world-leader in the design and manufacture of specialist valves for the oil and gas industry. 

Ann Christin has 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, where she has served in a variety of senior management positions. She has served as independent director on boards in the construction and renewable industries, including as a non-executive director of Veidekke, the Norwegian construction and civil engineering group that is also the fourth largest business in Scandinavia.

She is currently chief digital officer of TechnipFMC, a London-based global company providing project life cycle services for the energy industry.

Tim Cobbold has extensive experience in leading large, complex international listed businesses having previously been the chief executive officer of specialist power supplier Chloride Group, specialist printers De La Rue and most recently, event organisers UBM. Prior to this he held senior management positions at engineers Smiths Group/TI Group, where he worked for 18 years. He has been a non-executive director at energy group Drax for the past eight years. He qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Waterhouse (now PwC).
