Bath-based design agency Supple Studios has been recognised as one of the South West’s top digital innovators at a regional awards scheme.

The agency triumphed in the Branding in a Digital Environment category of the South West Digital Awards last week for its work on the Prison Radio Association’s Straightline campaign, which was designed to help prisoners and their loved-ones to feel more connected through the prison walls.

Supple Studio has also worked with a range of major brands, including Channel 4, Royal Mail and the NSPCC.

The award was one of 10 handed out on Thursday at a ceremony in Plymouth. The South West Digital Awards were created by Plymouth-based events and ticketing business Helm Squared to shine a light on an often-neglected region and encourage and reward its industry-first products, outstanding development work and exceptional digital campaigns.

As well as a selection of innovative companies and individuals, the nominees featured businesses, organisations and individuals across the entire South West from Bath to Cornwall.

The Branding in a Digital Environment Award was sponsored by Devon-based LOGO design. Other sponsors included telecoms firm Triangle Networks and IT firms Novate and Stripe OLT.

Triangle Networks Bob Irwin sales director said: “By supporting other tech companies in the region as they grow, we help to reinforce the narrative of the South West as the ‘place to be’ for innovative businesses and help to further support our wider communities with jobs, great education and facilities that we can all enjoy.”
