Bath-headquartered national law firm Stone King has promoted 11 lawyers in key sectors across its six offices.

Charlotte Melhuish has been promoted to partner in the firm’s education team having joined Stone King in 2018, while Christopher Jones – who also works in the education team – becomes a senior associate chartered legal executive.

Nicole Reed in the charity team and Charlotte Macdonald in trusts & estates have both been promoted to senior associate.

The firm’s new associates include Alice O’Mahony (charity), Sean Knight (dispute resolution), Katharine Robinson (employment) and Amy McElhinney (commercial property).

In the trusts & estates team, Emma Seaton has also been promoted to associate alongside Samantha Taylor, who is now an associate chartered legal executive.

In the business property team, Fraser Conway has become a chartered legal executive.

Stone King, which employs more than 230 people across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London, is a national leader in the charity, faith and education sectors.

Managing partner Steven Greenwood, pictured, said: “We are delighted to announce these well-deserved promotions.

“As a firm, we are our people so supporting them to develop and progress in their careers is something we are wholly committed to.

“Our latest round of promotions is a great reflection of the skills and experience we have across our key sectors and national office network.”

Alongside these promotions, which will be effective from 1 May, Stone King recently appointed top-ranked charity lawyer Rosamund McCarthy Etherington as a partner.

Her arrival after more than 30 years at London law firm Bates Wells strengthens Stone King’s team of more than 50 charity lawyers.
