Bath is to host this year’s Green Energy Awards and the annual conference of renewable energy agency Regen SW.

Speakers at the high-profile event, which takes place on November 9 at the Assembly Rooms, include Alasdair Grainger of the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Juliet Davenport, chief executive of Chippenham-based renewable electricity supplier Good Energy.

Attending will be key figures from the public sector and local authorities, business leaders, policy influencers, decision makers and a range of renewable and energy efficiency companies.

Last year more than 500 delegates from the private and public sector attended the conference, exhibition and awards ceremony.

This year’s event will draw to a close by celebrating the success of the sector over the previous 12 months with the Green Energy Awards dinner which will be hosted by BBC correspondent Simon Jack.
