Sales expert Lou Elliott has become the first employee of growing sales and customer service training firm Sales Coaching Solutions.

Lou was headhunted for the job by the Chippenham company’s managing director Alison Edgar, who knows about Lou’s background in sales and customer service as she was previously Alison’s boss.

The pair met more than 16 years ago when Lou recruited Alison to her successful sales team at Yell, the local business search engine.

Lou was responsible for passing on the skills which prompted Alison to launch Sales Coaching Solutions, which focuses on sales and customer service training for start-up enterprises, small and medium-sized firms and corporates.

Lou said: “I am thrilled to be working with Alison. I’m looking forward to working with business owners and employees in the near future.”

Alison added: “I cannot express how delighted I am to be bringing Lou into the business. Together we’ll make a great team and we offer customers a huge wealth of experience in sales training.”

Lou’s passion for sales and good customer service started more than 30 years ago when she joined Yellow Pages. During her time with the company she became successful in people management, sales training and coaching. She has also worked with blue-chip companies such as Marks & Spencer, Global Radio and Celador Entertainments.

Both Lou and Alison believe sales and customer service are the same thing – when delivered correctly.
