Bath communications agency Clearly PR has added Matthew ‘Ollie’ Ollerton, one of the founding presenters of TV show SAS: Who Dares Wins, to its client roster.

Ollie, pictured, served with the Special Boat Service for six years, undertaking missions in hostage rescue, counter terrorism, homeland security and more, before joining the hit Channel 4 show that puts civilian ‘recruits’ through Special Forces training.

Having been on the show’s directing staff from its launch in 2015 until 2020, he now fronts SAS: Australia

Clearly PR is now working with Ollie to promote his corporate offering, including BreakPoint, the business he founded in 2015 which offers business and individual training and performance courses focusing on changing people’s limiting beliefs, as well as his motivational speaking.

Since leaving SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ollie’s career has diversified greatly. BreakPoint operated successfully despite the pandemic and he has penned a number of best-selling books and a fitness app, Battle Ready 360, which launched in January 2020.

Clearly PR associate director James Gwinnett featured as a recruit on series four of SAS: Who Dares Wins, filmed in Chile, and then worked with Ollie to publicise the launch of Battle Ready 360. Following a successful media campaign, the app gained sufficient traction to be sold earlier this year to community fitness and well-being platform TRUCONNECT.

James will now lead the Clearly PR account team handling the account and will provide a range of services to Ollie and BreakPoint across PR, digital marketing – including social media and long-form blog content – as well as design.

Ollie said: “James has proven his knowledge of the media landscape in the past and, with the support of a leading PR agency that offers the complete package, we are delighted to be working with him again.

“With his experience on SAS: Who Dares Wins, James understands the BreakPoint mindset and what we are looking to achieve for the business – which is ultimately to get the best out of our corporate and individual clients.”

James added, “It’s a pleasure to be working with Ollie again, when he’s got so much to offer as a business leader, performance expert, motivational speaker and storyteller.

“The Clearly PR team is incredibly excited to get started on an integrated marketing approach that will require collaboration across our media, social and design expertise.”

Established in 2014 and named one of the top 50 PR agencies outside London by PR Week, Clearly PR provides communications, content and creative services for a growing portfolio of professional services clients in the South West and across the UK.

In June it won three categories at the regional PRCA Dare Awards – Professional of the Year, Team Culture & Community, and Medium Consultancy of the Year.
