National law firm Stone King has strengthened the international and cross-border team in its Bath office with the appointment of solicitor Harriet Burt.

Harriet, pictured, studied law through the Open University and graduated with a First. She completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England (UWE).

She arrives at Stone King from Dorset law firm Rutters, which she joined nearly four years ago to work as a paralegal in its private client department. She became a fully-qualified solicitor in April.

She is an international and cross border succession solicitor whose work includes preparing wills that are valid both in the UK and overseas, providing cross border estate planning advice and multi-jurisdiction estate administration, and English powers of attorney.

Harriet said: “I am very excited to have joined Stone King and extremely happy to be working with such a dynamic team.”

Head of Stone King’s international and cross-border team, Daniel Harris, added: “We are delighted to welcome Harriet to the team and know she will be an asset in this area. We deal with a wide range of legal matters in practically every jurisdiction in the world, such as wills, probate and estate administration, and tax services.

“Inquiries continue to grow and we are pleased to be able to help clients with their queries, no matter which part of the world they concern.”

Stone King employs more than 250 people providing specialist legal advice to clients in the education, charity and social enterprise, business and private client fields across its offices in Bath, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London.

It also offers conveyancing in France and Spain.
