Regional law firm Mogers Drewett has made two appointments to its corporate commercial and private client teams in its Bath office.

Solicitor Dominic Shard joins the corporate commercial team from London firm BDB Pitmans, where he specialised in insolvency and distressed mergers and acquisitions, while solicitor Hannah Welbourn, who previously worked in the Bath head office of regional law firm Royds Withy King, is now part of Mogers Drewett’s private client team.

Dominic, pictured, brings a wealth of experience advising company directors and insolvency practitioners on the sale and purchase of businesses in financial difficulty, including security arrangements and associated legal matters.

His appointment marks a move to provide commercial clients with specialised support during a challenging period of change.

Mogers Drewett partner and corporate commercial head Tom Webb said: “Despite the current challenges we are all facing, we are determined to build on what was a record year for the corporate commercial team and Dominic’s appointment will undoubtedly support that aim.”

Dominic added: “At a time when many businesses will be facing unprecedented challenges, I am eager to use my expertise to help clients navigate immediate requirements, while providing longer-term support that will ensure they are able to operate successfully in the new business world.”

Hannah, pictured, has particular expertise in trust formation and management, tax planning and estate administration. Her appointment further strengthens the team’s offering as it continues to support clients through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mogers Drewett provides a full range of legal services for businesses and individuals. It employs nearly 100 people across its offices in Bath, Wells and Sherborne.
