Bath restaurant Green Park Brasserie has appointed Alex Peters as director of marketing and strategy for the business.

Alex, pictured, has a background in marketing, having previously worked agency side and in-house at the British Museum, where he spent two-and-a-half years as a producer and senior producer working on digital content, editorial and design.

He is the son of brasserie owner Andrew Peters and originlly joined the business in 2016 to set up sister business Bath Pizza Co.

Bath Pizza Co, a 90-cover alfresco pizzeria and bar, sits alongside Green Park Brasserie and the business’s third arm Bath Function Rooms, which stages weddings, parties and corporate events.

Green Park Brasserie, pictured, with more than 100 covers, is known for its live jazz music four nights a week, lively atmposhere and local produce, has championed the independent restaurant scene in Bath since opening in 1992.

Alex said: “We’ve some exciting plans for the businesses over the next few years, having grown well over the past 24 months.

“You sometimes hear mixed stories about working with a family member, but we share a similar thought pattern and it makes it easy to be direct with each other when it comes to decision making.”

Andrew added: “We’ve seen some big changes in recent years. Green Park Station is becoming more of a destination and the geographic development of the city has shifted, making the west side of town busier. My father at 93 still helps with the invoices – I hope I’ll still have a hand in the business when I’m his age.”
