Stone King Bath staff jump at chance to take part in Christmas jumper charity fundraiser

National law firm Stone King’s Bath head office was a riot of colour as staff donned their best Christmas jumpers for a festive charity fundraiser.

Anyone pulling on their best Xmas pullover made a donation to Save the Children – with staff going all out with Noël-inspired knitwear and seasonally sequined sweaters.

The Bath HQ also collected items for sale on Bath Child Contact Centre’s stall at the city’s bustling Christmas Market.

The charity’s contact centre provides a safe venue for children, enabling them to spend time with the parent they do not live with, allowing bonds to be preserved and sometimes rebuilt.

Stone King head of family & mediation Caroline Fell, who is a trustee at the charity, said the donations were well received.

“I am so grateful on behalf of Bath Child Contact Centre to everyone who donated a gift for the Bath Christmas Market stall,” she added.

“The contact centre is vital in helping to preserve relationships between children and parents, something which can have such beneficial outcomes for young minds and play a key part in helping them achieve good outcomes in life.”

As well as fundraising for charity, Stone King this year has decided to help the environment by not sending Christmas cards. Instead the firm, which employs more than 230 people across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London, will make a donation to The Trussell Trust nationwide network of food banks.

The Christmas fundraising comes a month after some distinctly hairy happenings at the firm as part of Movember.

Trainee solicitor Conor McDonald and digital marketing manager David Bromley took part in the challenge, which raises funds for men’s health.

Conor was part of a group effort called Worsley’s Cherry Checkers that collectively raised £1,590 while David notched up nearly £200.
