Bath law firm Withy King has been awarded top marks in seven categories in the annual trainee survey run by Lex 100, the student guide to law.

For the second year running, Withy King, which also has offices in Swindon and Marlborough, was named as a ‘winner’ in the categories of job satisfaction, meeting expectations, quality of work, good work-life balance, client contact and friendliness – with average scores of more than 90% in each case.

The firm was ranked second for ‘job satisfaction’ and ‘quality of work’ out of entries from across the UK, including global London-based law firms, with an average score of 96% in both categories.

Managing partner Graham Street said: “This is great news for the firm. One of our key values is being an employer of choice. We are totally committed to our trainees and ensuring that Withy King lives up to their expectations, now and in the future. Our employees are fundamental to delivering our vision of creating lasting relationships by putting our clients’ interests first.”

Comments put forward by Withy King trainees included: “perfect balance between approachability and high-quality work”; “excellent level of client contact at an early stage”; “work-life balance is very good” and “approachable and friendly”.

Lex 100, which is an online comparative guide to law firms based on the views of those actually doing the job, wrote: “Those interested in a firm with a ‘high standard of expertise’ in diverse practice areas with good levels of trainee satisfaction should take a closer look at Withy King.”
