Restaurant you ate in? Les Deux Salons, William IV Street, London. Last restaurant in Bristol was a great pizza with a glass of cider at The Stables on Harbourside.
Thing that annoyed you? A late-running train and a lot of wasted time.
Thing that made you laugh out loud? StartUp Saturday – it’s my monthly class for start-ups and there’s always someone with a brilliant, heart-warming story to tell.
Piece of good advice you were given? Mature your style as you grow your business.
The experience of starting, growing and selling her first business, Techlocate, in 2005 from a home base gave Emma Jones the idea for Enterprise Nation, which was launched in 2006 as the home business website. It has since expanded to become a small business community of more than 75,000 people who benefit from business books, events and funding: online, in print and in person. Enterprise Nation also presents a campaigning voice to government and the media on behalf of its members. Enterprise Nation’s Festival of Female Entrepreneurs takes place at At-Bristol on October 21 – the fifth time it has been staged in the city. Emma, a co-founder of StartUp Britain, was awarded an MBE for services to enterprise in 2012.
