Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin.

This week Jake Xu, of Bath-based Ready – the Creative Campaign Agency, answers our 10 questions

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? The Wolf of Wall Street

Book you read? Boringly it’s work related: Pricing Design by Dan Mall. Before that, it was the January issue of VOGUE

Music you bought or downloaded? Adele 25

Concert or play you went to? EELS at Colston Hall in Bristol

Sporting event you attended? A Yankees game at the Yankee Stadium. I can’t remember who the other team were.

Holiday you went on? Okinawa and Tokyo for the New Year

Restaurant you ate in? CAU in Bath

Thing that annoyed you? People’s incompetence and procrastination

Thing that made you laugh out loud? Chinese jokes that rarely translate

Piece of good advice you were given? Trust your instinct. (That came out of a fortune cookie).

Jake Xu was born in Beijing China, and with his twin brother Shane Carnell-Xu moved to Bath in 1999. After a five-year stint as the online editor of .net magazine at Future Publishing, Jake and Shane co-founded Xcetra Media in 2007, which was rebranded last year as Ready. Apart from being a workaholic, Jake is also a self-confessed aviation geek. When not working with clients on creating innovative and engaging marketing campaigns, which is pretty much all the time, he will most likely be found on one of his ‘mileage runs’ somewhere in the world, one of which took him to Honolulu and back in just four days last summer.
